Give a Millennial A Trophy

Since Boomers have occasionally been referred to as the “Me” Generation, I find it ironic that Generation X and Millennials are often accused of behaving in self-centered ways.  A bit of the pot calling the kettle black, yes, but it’s also a sign that from generation to generation, we have our own language, our own perspective, and our own way of relating to the world around us.  Each generation is shaped by shared experiences.  There will always be a temptation to treat other generations who see things differently as “frustrating,” “unteachable,” and “selfish.” and Personal Branding Magazine are helpful tools for communicating between generations.  In particular, Personal Branding may help Boomers understand the need for Millennials in particular to brand themselves, that self-actualization is their priority rather than self-fulfillment.  A quote from an article at is below.  Lots of other great resources there to look through.
