The Question Matters

Coaching Confirmations, May 11

Here we go with another round of coaching around the world…

Part 2 of the “Catch a Coach” series that I posted on last time around.  The author offers three frequent objections to coaching that often occur in internal coaching, or as part of a larger leadership development program within a business.

“Coaching can be the oil that enables the rest of a management development agenda deliver tangible outcomes and results.” In spite of that, while 3 in 5 businesses believe in the power of coaching, only 9% rate it as a first or second priority.  Gotta get that number up.

I’m going to write more and more about this.  Notice that a business coach isn’t just about business.  Good coaching is holistic, touching on relationships and meaning, as well as more of the things you’d expect–sounding board, time management, strategy evaluation, etc.
